:childplease:

You dismiss the difference between them on the defensive side of the ball while IGNORING that the gap between them on offense is minute.

Mike Trout has .963 OPS, SECOND IN THE LEAGUE....in a pitcher-friendly park. He has higher OBP than Cabrera while Cabrera outpaces him in the power department. But when you take into account what Trout adds in taking extra bases/stealing bases and what Cabrera LOSES in that department (double-plays for starters)...the gap disappears.

This doesn't even take into account the gap between them on defense. I'll admit Cabrera hasn't been as bad as I thought he'd be, as he actually makes the majority of plays hit to him...he just makes far fewer plays than the rest of the league because he has no range.

Cabrera is the better hitter. Trout is the better player.

If Cabrera was white, there wouldn't be any debate about him getting MVP.

This is the most bullshyt argument I've seen yet. Well done.

Look at all that whiteness! :rudy:

15 of the last 20 MVPs have been black/Dominican/Japanese.

1st Potential Triple Crown Winner in 45 years and he has a team going to the offs. :beli:

The Angels have a better record. Doesn't make much sense to me to credit Cabrera for being in a vastly inferior division.
