Well, Knicks Brehs, our team has had a complete makeover.

Looks like we have players that will work hard, learn, and keep their heads in the game.

I sense these guys will be competent.

Gone are the dudes that barked loud but couldn't translate that into any consistent success.

Maybe one of these guys will get a spark and emerge as more than a role player.

Work on that vert, handles, passing, shooting, and hit the weight room....and oh yeah, read some books on assertiveness and effective communication and leadership.

How did we lose those 3 traded player exceptions if they expire in the fall and winter? i don't know all the specifics about the rule, but you sure that's accurate?

Thought we still had that money along with the mid-level exception to pursue another couple players separately.

New York also has two players on unguaranteed contracts for next season: Langston Galloway and Ricky Ledo. Often, teams follow up a pair of 10-day contracts with a deal that includes an unguaranteed second year, so it's not unusual that this is the case. The Knicks will probably waive Ledo even if they are interested in bringing him back because they'll be able to go over the cap to re-sign him to a minimum deal regardless. Galloway isn't going anywhere, obviously.

There are also a few procedural moves the Knicks will need to make. First, they will need to renounce the four trade exceptions (for J.R. Smith, Iman Shumpert, Travis Outlaw, and Tim Hardaway, Jr.) they currently have. Then, they will need to renounce both their Bi-Annual Exception and their Mid-Level Exception. This is because if a team is below the cap, these exceptions are counted against the team's cap space. However, the Knicks will have access to the Room Exception if they need it.

Yo, I've mentioned O'Quinn a few times here before as a young big that'd be worth a look. I really like that signing, it's not flashy but he's a guy who seems ready for a bigger role. This will be a cat that Knicks fans appreciate.
