Is Trevor Ariza going to be available? Heard he might get traded?

I really want Brandon Bass on this squad. Solid D & nice corner J.

If he really is on the trading block then I think the front office has to at least consider it. He is a capable SF who already knows the triangle. The downside is that if we acquired him, it would be Calderon salary numbers for the next two seasons.

Even though I think we have no shot at KD next year, there is still Eric Gordon, Noah, Nene, Conley, and Mozgov and for 2017 Dwight Howard, Rose, Blake, Russell, Parsons, Curry, Ibaka, Holiday, Derozen, Lance Stephenson, Taj Gibson, and Teague so I dont know if the FO would want to take on that amount of salary again with those names out there.

But I also cant see HOU trading him now. There is nobody in this years free agency that is looking at them seriously and their roster did well in the playoffs. No need to fix what isnt broken

But I'd consider it.

This tweet put me in check :russ: i'm cool with it again

lol at spending all our money on Lopez Afflalo, Brewer/Derrick and scrubs wtf is this
What team is doing it better?

Not saying the knicks moves are godly...but...what are you expecting?

Max at Jordan? Who won't even be in the late 4th quarter lineups because of his ft?

Somehow getting LMA who never expressed interest in us? So he could play in the exact same place as Melo and when things go bad at anytime you and the media can say, "Melo and LMA can't play together?"

Max at Wes Matthews coming off a major injury?

How about thinking about Phil's moves as average. Why get Mudiay when Grant, not having the same updside, but was determined to be the 4th best PG in the draft and seems to do everything Mudiay does...except jump higher?

What draftee would have been a DEFINITE contributer?

Afflalo, having a bad season last year...for less than 12 mill and not a long contract.

Did we get a star? Nope.

Did we get contributors? Yup.

Do we set ourselves up from having the worst roster &worst record? Yes (hopefully..lol)

Did we move the ball closer to the team being more attractive, in that if we started with this team and an additional 25mill...would LMA, Monroe & others consider us? Yes.

Am I copying Draymond Greens style? Yes.

I don't really know what the problem is. You have to build depth to have a decent team.

Zero shame in my team making sound investments. shyt, I'm proud as hell.

Are we gonna act like Greg Monroe is a star, now that he didn't sign with the Knicks? Is that the new narrative? :sas2:

Marc Gasol stayed, LaMarcus was never coming.

Robin Lopez for middle money, and Afflalo on a 1+1 gives us solid player with flexibility. Plus Hola Ovido, on his way over from Lithuania :blessed: (Ovidijus Galdikas)

Some cats just live to complain. LMA, Gasol and DJ were always long shots. Greg Monroe wanted us more than we wanted him (didn't even give him a max offer so it's safe to assume his agent or camp has been the source for the rumors about our intense interest). Afflalo at 8 million is arguably safer than the risk on Wes Matthews and a better fit than Monta at 11 million. RoLo gives this team exactly what Phil wanted, a rim protector with some mid-range and rebounding. Williams would make a nice addition because he can play 3/4 interchangeably like Melo can and he hit 40% on corner threes making him a solid triangle piece. He has a lot of unrealized potential, dude was the second pick in the draft once. Brewer makes sense as a depth piece with the cap space drying up, he's a high motor guy off the bench and one thing he does well is transition ball...if our bench is gonna include Grant, Galloway and KP, then easy buckets will be a nice way to help them as they develop.

People are too damned short sighted or chasing the quick fix. Phil said on day one this team would take years to have a contender. But the moves he's made since the Prigioni trade have helped this roster progress (and you could argue about earlier deals as well).
