Regardless of whether we sign Lopez or not, I want Biyombo. We need to start going after young pieces that can be part of our core going forward, especially if this season doesn't work out and Melo decides he wants out.

I think Biyombo is a terrific fit for the Knicks, they can talk all that triangle bullshyt all they want, but Robin Lopez being a target throws a wrench in that. Biyombo has the tools to be an elite interior defender, he's got great lateral mobility and his standing reach & wingspan make up for his lack of height.


He's only 22, and I doubt he gets a huge contract.

I know, which is why I don't expect a big return since he can essentially pick where he gets traded to, but something is better than nothing, and it's pointless to keep Melo on a roster that can't make the playoffs.

It is but I don't think he is a 12 yr guy right now otherwise I can't imagine Hornets letting him go...I'd do another 2 yr 16 mill with player option or even 3 yr 24 mill player option.
