That was not a double foul but...

@ZemaPromos Do not come in here saying the refs lost that game...

We are putting no effort for the first 2 quarters. Effort is all I ever fukking ask for as a fan.

I have to apologize to Tyson and Felton...I thought they were the culprits...but honestly there is a cancer in that fukking locker room. There is a philosophy of not putting up enough effort for games...it's bullshyt.

:manny: It's a team of players that just look uninspired, often.

Tim Hardaway fuvked up the defensive rhythm (alongside STAT). Knicks started looking lackadaisical once the defense couldn't keep up.

Tim Hardaway messed up the defensive rhythm (alongside STAT). Knicks started looking lackadaisical once the defense couldn't keep up.

I got back on my PC just to say what you just said. Tim and STAT shouldn't have gotten that many minutes. It should have been Acy and Jason. STAT never, ever passes and he's too determined to bully his defender and force a power move at the rim (even in traffic). This hurts the team. And he can't defend. He's not a fit for the Triangle, nor is he a fit to stay in the league, imo. I'll give Tim time, but in the meantime, Jason should have his minutes for offense, because he does provide rim-protection and rebounding. Fish should make it a priority to play Acy and for at least 30mpg, but Fish is learning.

That said, if Sam had not had an off night rebounding, Acy would not been as needed. The biggest thing for NY was not being able to score (because 'Melo and Swish were too passive as they were trying to figure out how to fit in the Triangle), so since they seem to have figured that out, I'm encouraged going forward because all they have to do is defend the way they have for most of the season; they likely will (especially after losing when they scored 113, and against one of the top defensive teams in the league).

The pace of the consistency on both ends of the court is impressive, considering the fact that everything is new. They're not just learning a new offensive system, but a new defensive system as well.

I was talking about the period when they got down huge in the first place

Sure, but THJ was part of the comeback, too.

And when they went down big... NOBODY was defending. That's how you end up down-big.

I dunno man, this team just isn't that good. Maybe Calderon's shooting helps.

You're right nobody was defending...but (I feel) that trend started when THJR and Stat came in and caused a few defensive breakdowns.

Btw brehs...

...is Shumpert real? :dwillhuh:

Yes, he's just healthier. Usually, it takes a full year to be yourself after acl. Plus, he's not good at spot-up shooting and random spot-up 3's (Novak). He's a pretty good mid-range jump-shooter and I noticed that last season. He just didn't attempt that many and couldn't finish consistently because of his acl; he said so himself many times in the offseason.

I've certainly always felt like Shumpert could be a good starter.

His jumper's progression leading into last season (before it all crashed down) was impressive. He's finishing around the hoop, too. I'd like to see him get there more, but still.

Truthfully, he's been one of the line positives for this team this year. That being said, I'm not sure his defense every gets all the way back to where he was pre-injuries. But that's ok.
