False. Derek was a great defender. He would help trap and still somehow recover to his man and steal the ball. He played pressure d only. I'm going with Brendan Brown on this one (3:40 mark):

Shump's handle is average. Tim's handle is putrid. Tim's handle is how Shump's used to be. What line up would have done better than holding Atlana to 38% shooting and 91pts?

Fisher was never a great defender. He got torched by opposing PGs, one on one. If anything, deflected passes came his way and he got his steals that way. If you can name me one player he shut down or gave fits then I'll give it up.

Not sure how you twisted my words to say he has no court awareness. I said he doesn't have x-ray vision. His defender was obstructing his view. He was staying in front of him the whole time, moving from side to side, and Swish couldn't see over him because he was crouching down dribbling.

Of course 'Melo is going to call for the ball if he's open. Kobe would too, despite the play being for Fisher to keep the defense off balance. Swish said "the play was to pass it to whoever was open. 'Melo set the screen on me, then he goes to the block to try to get something, but we didn't have anymore timeouts left and I guess Pablo didn't wanna wait for that action, so he made the pass to me and I tried to make the best play I could. I looked at 'Melo first and he wasn't open". That is true. 'Melo got open late. I already posted the video showing it. Here's the video interview of Swish's statements:

:dahell: I don't like Tomatoes; doesn't make them disgusting. In the same way, my lack of attraction to Swish doesn't make him bad looking. It's all about the individual. I think Lj is attractive and people on here (likely everyone) think I hate him. I love the sport. I ain't got time for dumb biases of that sort. Should I ask if you hate him, just because you disagree? :scust:

I asked because if you love the sport then you shouldn't be defending a dumbass like JR. I saw no other logical question to ask.

My Pops Forever RIP
Anyone who believes NY lost the game because Swish didn't assist 'Melo in performing a miracle that 'Melo hasn't performed since April of 2012 against the Bulls, knows nothing. Anyone who buys that it was a coincidence that Shump was in foul trouble and fouled out after Sam blocked Evan when Shump got caught on the screen, causing Shump incapable of fouling Evan because Shump was no where near Evan, is truly blind. Anyone who buys that it was a coincidence that 'Melo was in foul trouble in the first game he shot the ball well since the Charlotte game, and got his 5th near the end of game is truly blind. Anyone who buys that most of those fouls and free throws given both ways were fair, is truly blind. Had 'Melo and Shump not been on the bench in bogus foul trouble for most of the game, and had Orlando not gotten those "Magic" calls for themselves and against NY throughout the entire game, Orlando would have gotten blown out. Had Orlando not gotten those "Magic" calls for themselves and against NY late, no miracles would have been needed. Had 'Melo been able to close that game instead being sat in bogus foul trouble, no miracles would have been needed.

Anyone who buys that the refs didn't notice a player jumping on Melo's back on Monday against Atlanta is truly blind. Anyone who buys that the calls for NY's opponents and against NY from the 1st preseason game through last night's game are fair is truly blind. It's shocking to watch Knicks "fans" cape for refs and blame NY. Not one of the excuses many of NY's so-called "fans" make for the refs is true. Jump-shooters are not getting more calls than drivers. Non-jump-shooting teams are not getting more calls than Jump-shooting teams. NY's opponents are not attempting more shots at the rim and in the paint than most other teams' opponents. Quite the opposite. Strong defensive teams are not getting to the line more and and getting less fouls called against them than weak defensive teams.

If NY's defense is so soft, how can they possibly foul? Had the calls been fair, NY would have a winning record and would not have gotten blown out by the Bulls. Fact is, NY is injured, new players, new system, new coach, and a new president. NY desperately needs the games to be called fairly and the refs know it. They need the free throws. They need the other team to stay off the line. They need their impact players in the game and not on the bench in bogus foul trouble. The refs know all these things. Ever since NY proved they could beat Lj with that 2nd blow-out in Miami, NY has been trolled by the refs. Shout out to those who hold the refs accountable for their cheating. In the Post-game interviews from last night's game, fouls were discussed the most and how NY is being negatively impacted by them. 'Melo even said calls "just aren't going their way"; he's absolutely right.

If I were Shump, Larkin, Sam, Jason, Bargs, Pablo, and Swish, I would leave that team after this season when their contracts are up because barring Lj or Durant coming to their team, the refs will do everything they can to keep NY out of the Playoffs and Silver will probably block certain moves Phil tries to make, so that Silver can protect his cash cow, just like Stern blocked CP3's move to the Lake Show. And if KD comes, they will get cheated, so that Lj's team gets to the ECF, just like OKC was cheated in the 2012 Finals by the refs in a plethora of ways. I would leave like Beno did and if I were a good or great player, I wouldn't sign there. Phil's presence is doing nothing about the officiating because the league has to save Lj because that's how they make their money. Any team 'Melo is on is a match-up problem for any team Lj is on (check the match-up record), barring Lj being on a super-team (that has strong defense — Cavs are weak) with 'Melo being on a D-League type team. 'Melo made the right choice because making sure your family is taken care of after you die is more important than winning, but I still feel sorry for him.

It's very difficult to watch these games that NY has to fight so hard for, just because the refs are determined to cheat them, so I will be taking a break. Don't know if I'll ever watch another NBA game because some of form of manipulation is the norm in every one of them. I'm a fan of the sport, before any players or teams and it's not fun watching the game go so slowly because teams are shooting free throws every time down. It's not fun watching bogus fouls being called against players who are playing well, just because the refs want that team to lose. It's not fun watching the refs give the ball to certain teams when they know that team touched it last, especially late in games. The NBA is such a joke.

Nope, with my own eyes, I saw him help trap and still somehow recover to his man, press into him and steal the ball in either the Finals series against the Magic or against the Sixers. Derek punked Ray Allen in the 2010 Finals. Derek is half his size. Word on the street is, when he hit the biggest shot of his career, he played "terrific" defense (click here to read about it).
