We play to win here #notankzone :birdman:
I say .500
I want the Knicks to play hard. This way they cultivate the right energy in the locker room...

But if they lose...I'm not gonna be mad either
you think we're gonna play worse than the sixers and/or the Lakers breh

:mjlol:
No but the number one pick doesn't always go to the worst team
:mjlol1:

But those teams are tanking on purpose though :mjpls:
Bean my nikka hate it had to be him :mjcry:
If your gonna tank, might as well do it right.

Word to the 76ers getting murda'd by the Raptors right now
You tanking cats :scust:

Listen we are rebuilding. It's never good to lose but if there was ever a time it's now.

Understand the whole roster is gonna be completely different next season.

All we need to do is cultivate the triangle and the principles around it

The players implementing it next year are gonna be different anyway

:what: A #1 Pick is not going to carry NY to a title. If NY doesn't show they can be competitive this season under Phil, no good players will be coming to NY, unless it's to play for Brooklyn.

Looking at our roster this season alone...
calderon
shump
melo
barg
dalembert

This team isn't gonna win a title nor make it to the ECF even if healthy

After this season we shed brag and STAT's contracts plus get rid of JR we are working with about 40mil in cap space give or take

We sign a max player (everyone's hoping for Marc Gasol) that works in the triangle
+
Sign a top 5 draft pick (most likely a Big)
+
Fill out the rest of the roster with role players/defensive players

Now our team has Melo (#1 option) plus a second option that can score and play defense inside (Marc Gasol) and a developing superstar in the making (our draft pick)

Suddenly were looking like a contender for the title in about 2-3yrs

This is New York, players will always want a chance to play here

How do you know players won't be traded at the deadline for NY to get to the ECF? Why would good or great players want to come to NY and lose?

Lakers ain't tanking on purpose... Lakers tanking cause they ain't good :heh:

They played like a lottery team last year and they were trying to win. Imagine if they didn't. :crazed:
How'd they play like a lottery team when they were one Hawks victory away from the 8th seed and a few dumb ass games from being a 6-7 seed :dahell:

Knicks ain't gonna lose enough games with Melo, JR, the youth core and Jose Calderon in the East. Maybe if New York was in the Western Conference like the Lakers but...nah. We'd have to trade away at least a few players

It's like you dudes completely ignore nearly ten years of Knick history when you make statements like this

Marc Gasol is not going to come to a lottery winning KniKnicks team that is losing more talent than it is getting. Why in the world would any top player at their position come to a Knick team that missed the playoffs twice in a row with a healthy Carmelo, JR Smith and Stoudemire? To play next to a top draft pick that doesn't project to be a game changer? :beli:

What does that have to do with them being a game out of the playoffs in a season where they bungled several games they could have won just by executing one or two plays intelligently? That doesn't scream lottery to me regardless of how bad the East started the year (it's always forgotten that the Eastern Conference played better as the year went on but whatever).

No trade can fix this shytty team.

At least enough for us to get past the bulls, cavs, heat

maybe even the Nets/Raptors

I agree thats why the Knicks are frustrating.

N eventually the front office gets pissed that we suck but not enough to get new young talent...

so we go out and purchase shytty veteran contracts that kill us in the long run...

We are gonna trade players... JR should be gone come trade deadline

What talent are we losing?
-Larkin our starting PG who should be back up at most
-STAT who suddenly is playing well because its a contract year
-JR who is almost like a 2nd option but would be a 3rd/4th/5th option on great teams

Superstars have gone to big market teams that are shytty
Ala Chris Paul to the Clippers
Even Lebron went back to Cleveland

You can't convince me that NO superstar would come to NY "The Mecca" "Home to the World's Most Famous Arena"

Lol at asking " what talent "and then naming guys who are performing this season and will prevent us from having a disastrous season.

And the difference between the Clippers/Cavaliers and the Knicks goes beyond how they've sucked. The pressure to win in New York is tenfold the amount that exists in those former awful teams.

Once again... Look at history brehs. NY is desirable yes, but only if all the variables are right it seems like

Bruh...

We're not even ten games into a season with a new coach, a new offensive system that is heavily reliant on our currently injured point guard and requires a big man that can pass AND post.

That last part I wrote, there's no evidence that it can be fixed without another player being added to the roster. Everything else requires time and patience and a concerted effort from all players to buy in. 7 games in an 83 game season doesn't exactly scream patience fam. There's a lot of games left to be played and we've already seen that it CAN work

We are 2-5, with a new head coach, implementing a new system, and we have 2 possible starters, along with a key reserve out with injuries. How is that disastrous? Some of you cats are :mindblown:
