I think they will sooner or later. Sony at a disadvantage because they don't have titles that could utilized the gamepass model. Everything has to be a 300 million single player novel which only allows 1 to 3 games a year for Sony.

Sony need to expand their genres in order to compete.

He almost certainly knows what "Spartacus" will offer, so the fact that he is talking about day one releases tells me he knows Sony won't be offering them (at least for their first party SP games) so that Gamepass looks better in comparison.

Sony already has a higher number of subscribers (ps plus and psnow together the is about 50 million) than gamepass. If they merged both and formed a gamepass subscription style.

The point is there isn’t any real point on commenting on what it is when we dont know what the service is. As far as we know its psnow and psplus combined.

Since gamepass dropped a handful of people have been saying that it's what's next.

Sony stans have argued up and down why Sony, won't do anything like gamepass and even further more won't put there exclusives on PC like xbox

Less than 3 years later, exclusives are dropping on PC and PSN and PSNow are merging.

Yet somehow sony stans are like nah, day and date will never happen.

Nintendo even has it's only spin on gamepass, I wouldn't be surprised to see something from them that also lets you play 1st party games with a monthly sub at some point. And they are the only TRUE console exclusive system in the industry.


Sony stans have been doing backflips to reason why Sony doesn't need to, won't and doesn't have to do XYZ. While Sony has consistently X copied everything MS has been doing... And lately it's getting so blatant and hard to spin that they just have to completely ignore things like "We believe in generations" " Old games" and what there definition of a exclusive is as things consistently shift more and more toward what MS is and has been doing..
