I take great care not to dress like a thug because I'm not a thug, 90% of the time I'm out in public I'm wearing a button up shirt. i don't get harassed for how I dress, I get harasses because of my skin color.

living in cali, i actually understand his (brother Knock's) view point. but man, its real crazy for that which some consider 'blackness' out here especially since SoCal has a low ass percentage of black people for a major city(4-6 %) and these black people are pretty much in one damn area.it's just that simple? all this time I've been dealing with racial profiling and all I have to do is relocate to the post-racial west side?
It doesn't but we not gonna run around and pretend everything is alright. Why should we ignore the fact we are being treated unfairly because of the color of our skin?
Also we have offered many solutions to this problem, here goes a list.
Not to look suspicious insides stores
Walk around outside without our hands out our pockets
Being productive citizens
Making our own businesses to hire our own
Gaining political power in hopes of helping our people.
Fact is this, it doesn't matter what we do, the color of our skin will always play a factor. New black means accepting the way society is, even when its punching in the mouth for no reason.
