Who cares..

Either you recieve Jesus or you don't.

I'm a follower because I have testimony of GOD sending JESUS into my life.

I used to be atheist...but I was awoken :ohlawd:

Some of you atheists and non believers are under this false impression that followers of Jesus or Christians are only followers because we've been told by parents.

I would argues most of us have received the Holy Spirit or have had things happen to us in our lives that are us have faith and believe.

It is appointed for men to die

people can live any life they want to but one day it will be your last day, and every knee will bow and confess

It's a difficult for any Christian to remain one if they do critical breakdown into his religion

The dogma makes very little sense, they don't have any of the teachings of Jesus PBUH - they have written works of Greek authors who are unknown and never met Jesus or spoke his language. They don't have any of the manuscripts.

The Bible we have today is full of contradictions and historical inaccuracies and then you have Paul who most Christians today follow who introduced Christians to this weird concept of the trinity and was actually branded a heretic during the Christians of his time.

The concept alone when looking at it with a logical view is contradictory and confusing. You have to close your brain to fathom it.

Europeans have taken the religion hostage and misinterpreted the teachings to a blasphemous level.

Jesus PBUH came for the lost sheep of Israel and as he said to his people, hear o Israel the lord our God is one.

Mainstream Christians are a joke and thus through their actions you can see they display cognitive dissonance and don't even take their scripture or religion seriously. It's just an identity for them to claim which is rooted in European supremacy which is ironic and absurd since Jesus was from the Middle East and was a colored man who like the previous prophets came to teach monotheism.

No, it isn't. Sure, you can list various and sundry people who've left for whatever reason, but there are more Christian scholars, now, than at any point in history.

No mass exodus.

I would have read the rest of your post, but when you start with a false assertion......

You were raised in a Christian society, the same way musicians are raised in Muslim societies, and hindus are raised in Hindu societies.

Are your parents christian?
Jesus came into my life when I was 27 years old.

Where you're raised plays a small part...BUT

You still have to recieve JESUS....have faith that he was raised on the 3rd day and will come back.

That doesn't come from just being told that...in my case I needed him to enter into my life and meet me at my lowly place...which he did.

Was depressed at a park..and some native guy walks up and says "Jesus loves you...if you were to die alot of people would miss you".

His name was George and he told me he had a dream of us meeting at that same park.

That was one of the few instances that made me believe....it was gradual and I wouldn't confess that JESUS is LORD until a few months after that.

I believe I'm supposed to make my mark and do work for God's kingdom as a follower of Christ. Some people perhaps could be doing that as a Muslim/buddhists,etc...I don't know. But not everyone is going to recieve Jesus..and that is okay because I'm not the judge...but I would like for everyone to receive JESUS..but I can't let it distract me.

Jesus commanded, “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit” (Matthew 28:19

Who says Peter didn't believe in the trinity?
:jbhmm:

What is weird about the trinity?

As I was saying cognitive dissonance.
We live in a secularist liberal society here in the west where Christianity is only claimed as a cultural heritage and certainly not a lifestyle.

As for Christian scholars, Bart D. Ehrman you won't find a bigger and respectable scholar of the new testament and early Christian history then him.
He states he did his very best to hold onto his faith and believe in the reality that the Bible we have today is the word of God. After his in depth studies he came to see that from the 5000 manuscripts of the new testament no two of them are exactly the same. Scribes were constantly changing them in significant ways and less thus the contradictory nature of the book.
Like many others he no longer is Christian.

This isn't profound info, most western. Countries Christianity is on a downward spiral and was actually blamed for Europe's ills prior to the enlightenment period when state was separated from religion. It was only then Europe came to become the technological power it is today.
