PG County Maryland gets dethroned as nations wealthiest Black county.

It wasn't gonna be long before it happened. Those in the DMV who've been paying attention noticed it with well to do Black folks moving there families up outta there in droves.
Who holds the crown now you might be thinking.
Well the title still belongs in Maryland. Charles County south of PG County and the states 2nd majority Black county (happened around the 2010s) now holds that distinguished title.

Damn I had no idea Charles County was majority black. I got a little bit of family down there and they are PAID. But I only been out that way once or twice. But like I always say ain’t no state better to be black in than MD

Not surprising at all. Gentrification pushed SE & NE out into PG county, which pushed PG people into Charles county.

Once they complete that rapid transit project from Branch Ave metro to Waldorf

Charles county is the place to be. It's cheaper to live there in D.C and have an income of people from D.C, P.G county , and from the NYC tri state.

Even the working class is on the come up. There scooping firefighters, bus drivers and military out of high school.

It is? I really passed up a position after retirement to work in D.C.. i probably should have researched it I was just looking for a place that had a cheaper cost a living.

I BEEN saying this. MD is the shyt. You can do really well here in the Baltimore/DC metro area. Baltimore has a bad reputation but there’s a large black middle class here especially in the burbs

There’s a massive relocation of people & money from DC to PG to southern MD going on.

People have been migrating to Waldorf / Brandywine / Fort Washington since I moved here the 2nd time in 2007. If they would make 210 and 5 more lanes more people would move. Hear traffic is horrrible that way leaving DC.
