Coronavirus vaccines have been in development for decades. These vaccines aren’t entirely unique nor have they been rushed by an unreasonable degree. Yes, apprehension at the administration of a new drug, especially one meant to combat a deadly pandemic, is natural. But, let’s gain some perspective and deal in facts.

I'm not a Covid-denyer, I'm not anti-vax, I'm not anti-mask

But, the more and more news that comes out about these shots...

...:francis:
This.

I'm not sayin there is something wrong with the vaccine but you think if there really was that they would tell us, it would be PR suicide after all the "get vaccinated" propaganda they been spewing :francis:

They would say it's for the greater good :yeshrug:

I understand this, although I would argue any degree of rushing a vaccine is unreasonable in most cases.

The thing about perspective is, everyone is coming from a different one. My mom asked was I talking the vaccine and I explained to her, besides the specific reasons, my overall all reason is, my philosophy on medicine and things like vaccines is that I never take them unless I’m compelled by extreme pain or medial emergency. It’s not necessarily a distrust as much as it is a lack of knowledge about the medical industry and biology that doesn’t allow me to comfortably take things I can’t really confirm. Like I understand that it’s not always some conspiracy, but at the same time, I basically have to just trust what y’all say is in here is in here and it’s gonna do what y’all say. And that y’all research was adequate and forthcoming and that y’all haven’t made any mistakes. If I don’t absolutely have to do that, I’m not, and that’s with anything medical related as well as the corona vaccine.

Moms on the other hand, is like she’s older and she’s at a higher risk, so she got it. And I understand. The reward is not worth whatever potential risk there may be for me to take it
