OG Fable is still a borderline classic game though
I remember stacking experience points and spending them all at one time, just to find out that my character aged like 30 years and had gray hair after. My character also started going bald because I was evil.That clown said the world ages and grows.
The trees will be taller later because they age like the character.

Nah, no way in hell was it a borderline classic. If you see it as such then i have no problem with that, but the game even without the lies was above average. I cant give the OG Fable more than an 8.OG Fable is still a borderline classic game though
Would of been way better if you aged through parts of the story and not increasing skills. If anything, it is only still infamous because of the BS Molyneux spouted. People are still sold on the idea that the franchise is something special.
1 was fine and ended right when it got good.
2 and 3 were mediocre.
The next one will be more filler. People need to stop giving failed franchises the benefit of the doubt.
No classics, no body of work. Fable is just a fable.

There were much better RPGs on that system, and the original xbox wasn't even known for rpg games.

You could only play as a kid in the beginning of the game and had no real depth to it. The period between child and adult was just used as a long tutorial.

Marriage while a cool concept, was not a big thing overall. You could not even have kids in the first game. Other games before that had marriage in it.
Other games allowed one character to do all three as well.
All people are saying is it is not a 9 or a 10 game, which is very fair.

But yea, I immediately associate it with bullshyt ass claims and bullshyt ass games like Fable. That whole era of gaming was filled with overhyped pseudo-celebrity game designers trying to make a name for themselves. Molyneux, Reggie Fils-Aime, The other nikka from ID games (not John Carmack), even Kojima-san was on that bullshyt from time to time.
Not to mention the overhyped game engines. Remember the Kill Zone shyt? Ushered in the whole nonsense of studios passing cinematic trailers off as gameplay footage. Also ushered in the lack of differentiation between PC games and console games.
I'm forgetting a few.
