I love music by Pete Rock and Conway too, but like...do people really think in 2022 that Flex has a ton of power? When I worked in the music business in the 2000's it was already at a point where DJs had almost no say to play what they wanted outside of college radio. If you're at a major station, you got pre-approved lists of what stuff you can play. He might be able to play 1 or 2 songs every xyz amount of minutes, but it's not a ton of freedom.

This whole situation is just weird to me in the streaming era. Terrestrial radio isn't even breaking new artists anymore, period. In any genre. Why anyone cares what Flex plays or doesn't play in 2022 I have no idea.
