A community minded person that is really about affecting change in their community and is engaged with the political process is going to be aware of presidential hopefuls making rounds in their community.
Y’all want candidates to support a black agenda but no one wants to show up and engage on what an actual meaningful agenda looks like.
What’s even more poignant about this is the fact that Ta-Nehisi Coates looked at Bronzeville and neighboring communities, and the racist policies that were legally instituted to bar south side blacks from wealth creation, to make his case for reparations.
To think we had a presidential hopeful visiting ground zero of black systemic disenfranchisement and no blacks show up to push him in supporting our agenda is, quite frankly, less than pathetic. And the excuse is “wE dIdN’t KnOw”.

we arent funding his campaign so it doesnt matter. Politicans are beholden to the wealthy ppl who fund their campaigns. Black ppl are systemically defined access to resources so showing up and yelling down some cac politician isnt going to make him jump when he gets in office. Nothing moves but the money. A black persons time is better spent trying to get a bag then funding a politician to donor bidding.
