Funny considering final fantasy completely throws out their formula every new game while SMT/Persona follows two very strict themes and plotlines.

either last year or 2022, Ludwig Goransson (or however you spell it) won an Oscar for something, and he got on stage and said "thank god my parents didn't let me play video games" so he could work on composing music
It was a dumbass ignorant statement. Shoji Meguro, Nobuo Uematsu, Yoko Shimomura. Guys like them put a ton of work into composing music for video games. Think of all the iconic music from our childhoods (Sonic, Mario, Banjo Kazooie, Pokemon, etc).

Everybody seems to love the persona series. I've played 3,4,5 and they are good games but I always end up losing interest before the ending.Playing this now.

Ive powered through to the end of Trails of Cold Steel 2(enjoying this universe and characters WAY more than those in Persona) and have just stopped because McBurn boss battle is straight up fukkery. But I gotta finish to start TOCS 3

Royal is a lot more streamlined, with a lot of QoL improvements over vanilla Persona 5. You'll also finish it faster because of that.
