Imagine being a GTA or Elder Scrolls fan and having to wait 10+ years for your next mainline entry. I do wonder how much covid f'd up some of these plans because the wait between these major franchises is getting crazy

They're definitely working on it now. Just won't announce until it's probably a year out from release. I'd prefer they say nothing than announce a game 5-6 years before it's release. That builds too much hype and most games that are announced that early fail to deliver.

2016 huh!? I didn’t realize it had been that long. I got and beat P5 vanilla at launch and I’ve been working my way through Royal since Jan 2021.. I haven’t even got to the new dungeons yet

AND I still have P5 Strikers to play…. I’m in no rush for P6

mainline persona games take a long time to release

then when they get announced they get delayed for at least another year

shin megami tensei v was announced in 2017 and didn't release til last year lol. they might not want to announce anything again until it's reasonably close to being finished

most disappointing thing about the 25th anniversary project was no remake/rerelease of the first two persona games that people have been asking for since forever
