There aren’t players who fall short of expectations in the NFL while half Assing it? There’s plenty but no one cares enough to cover them along these lines
I will say that it’s unique to basketball how former players talk about current players. There is no decorum.

You soft nikkas talking about toxicity towards multi millionaires. These guys only care if their own teammates are talking shyt.. everything else is just a varying degree of annoyance.

It’s a different world for all sports but it’s only the NBA with former players daily shytting on the new ones.

The games appeal would grow more if former players weren’t everyday confirming fans bias against the league.

Toxic as fukk.
This ain't all the way true though. There were plenty of segments about Kyler and that film review being written into contracts. Lamar Jackson for years being killed about not being able throw. Multiple segments about Tom Brady and the Robert Kraft wedding just this week. Aaron Rodgers being a shyt teammate. The difference being that NBA has way more of an online presence than NFL so things are more likely to go viral when somebody shyts on a player.

One thing I will say though is that NBA has attracted more hot take artists as well as they see that'll get them a big online presence and help blow their brand up. There is also plenty of coverage highlighting the greatness of NBA players too.

Ben Simmons is just one of them Space Jam NBA players after the bad guys stole their moves. Kwame Brown with a Steve Irwin obsession.

It’s crazy how former NBA players make a name for themselves at the expense of current players. That’s why the product isn’t viewed as well as it should be.

Fans accept it as normal sports behavior But it adds nothing but a poor perception of the game

I’m WAITING on the day a confrontation takes place on some Rome Everett shyt

There’s a difference between citing random examples of NFL players being criticized to that of the cultural dysfunction of older or former NBA players on a weekly basis voicing their disdain for today’s players. Don’t be intellectually dishonest thinking your example is shoulder to shoulder to that of a cultural pathology with the NBA.
