The tearing down of new players by former players started with LeBron James

When he did that shyt with Jim Gray saying he’s “taking his talents to South Beach” all this shyt changed forever

Walt Frazier with his bullshyt

Charles Barkley with his shyt

Then you had active players in the league talkin shyt like KG and Paul Pierce

When LeBron did the Decision everything changed for the worse in regards to the toxicity
I remember that shyt happening prior to that. What was the year that buffoon from PTI was covering Monday night football? He had the nerve on one Monday night telecast to say Carmelo Anthony’s fight versus the Knicks at the garden back in 2004 show the degradation of society. As if we didn’t see worse throughout the 90s. The NBA has always been a linchpin for bigot commentary. And dumb ass former players are following suit doing the work for these fools in tearing down the players at every opportunity.

Just toxic

It’s crazy how former NBA players make a name for themselves at the expense of current players. That’s why the product isn’t viewed as well as it should be.

Fans accept it as normal sports behavior But it adds nothing but a poor perception of the game
How is it any different from everyone dumping on Russell Wilson?

That’s not a regularly part of NFL coverage and programming. There aren’t a collective of former players building careers off of current day players every single weekend. Using outliers isnt proving anything. Plus, the “youre playing like a bad quarterback means you’re a bad person” pipeline has always been there. It’s still not something one would call daily NFL coverage. Pointing out the existence of some thing doesn’t make it equal to something that’s constant
