The main two is that women can't have second characteristics.... or that they're taught to settle.... whatever that means.......

Also, you said you wanna see some weird looking chicks in Hollywood.... Do you have any examples?
You've never heard the old canard that women aren't funny, or that they're dumb? The former is primarily centred around the entertainment industry, but the latter is a pretty fundamental element of our society. By "taught to settle" I mean that women historically haven't been in charge of their own destinies to the same degree as men, in a social sense, so they are taught to take what they are offered. This most obvious example of this would be the marriage ceremony, but it has manifested itself in things like wage negotiations.

By weird looking chicks I mean women who aren't being promoted on the primary basis of their conventional attraction. I'm having a hard time even coming up with an example of one in the mainstream, which is the problem. Tilda Swinton? Adele, to some degree? I'm talking about women who disrupt the narrative by making their attractiveness a secondary element of their work. I think I'm getting away from this thread though. To bring it back, having the media promote more women who were deemed uniquely or unconventionally attractive would help to break down the walls of this issue too, to some degree.

The thread was titled "unique beauties" tho idk ok

Id like to see these super uniques some nikkas was expecting tho...

What made them unique.....? :patrice: There is a mainstream template for what is considered attractive or beautiful.... and the ladies in the pics you posted fall within that template to varying degrees.... The word unique denotes being unlike anything else....... :yeshrug:

False. There are plenty of women that don't come close to the Instagram look that guys beast over.

SZA
Erykah Badu
Tracee Ellis Ross
MC Lyte
Tweet
Pretty much any black woman that works in news/sportscasting

None of those chicks would fit the prototype IG chick but still get or got plenty of adoration from brothers.

As far as women being taught to settle, if this is true, I rarely see the manifestation of that. I see big girls shooting for in shape men. I see guys settle for the unattractive woman that is offering easy sex (and then playing the sh*t out of her later). But what I rarely see is an universally attractive woman "settle" for an unattractive man. Most women have no problem finding a man of equal attractiveness that is willing to be in a relationship with her. Now will he be successful or even have a job, that's a different topic. But there's nothing forcing women to settle from a looks perspective.
FKA Twigs would be a better example than SZA, who is still pretty conventionally attractive. Badu is a decent example, so is Lyte (I think. I was too young to be cognizant of her image). But Tracee Ellis Ross and Tweet are still wholly within the constraint I'm talking about. The issue isn't IG chicks or not, because IG is a modern conceit. There was a version of IG chicks in the 90s and 80s and 70s. The connective factor is a woman's primary value being in her looks. An ugly man is more likely to succeed than an ugly woman. Like, as much as I hated Girls, it was refreshing to know that the reason Lena Dunham was being put on our screens wasn't to satisfy an erotic itch that has, quite frankly, been overscratched.

As for settling, I'm just going by what i've been told by women i've met or heard from. I think it's much more common in our society to see (or conceive of) an attractive woman with an unattractive man than vice-versa. Of course the relationship arithmetic isn't constrained to physical looks, there are other factors that weigh in, but we still have this vestigial notion of a woman's worth. I definitely see it weakening to some degree though. But you are correct, this is more of a media issue than what one would see IRL. While the media has the power to influence IRL, it is always a caricature. We don't see the same standard deviations of attractiveness in IRL that we do in the media. But settling takes place in many realms, not just inter-gender relations.

I ain't about that bait and switch:scust:

That tuck and roll life :scust:

FoH:camby:

Sometimes this is just hoe slamming and shaming real models for having they sh*t together:rudy:

When the only thing that makes some of these lame broads unique is they haven't hit the gym/ haven't woke up to learn it's a buyers market and they just can't compete :sas2:
