It gets cold in Reno in the winter and snows. It's at a high ass elevation...

I love Reno and would live there if it weren't so close to Sacramento, which for me, is the absolute best thing about Reno: only 2 hours from Sacramento, where it doesn't freeze or snow. It's just too close to Sac, why would I move there when I can just go to Sacramento...

But Reno has plenty of wonderful attributes on its own, it's a cool ass city!
2 of my high school classmates moved out there and been there for over a decade. Coming from Decatur, IL, where it is hard on the eyes, I know they don't take the scenery in Reno for granted

Somewhere on an Xbox

Reno, where the neon lights of the casinos shine bright enough to distract you from the colorful cast of characters wandering the streets
a place where you can gamble away your paycheck and then take a scenic drive to Lake Tahoe to reflect on your life choices.
high-stakes gambling and the serene beauty of Lake Tahoe is truly something to behold. And let’s not forget the local wildlife – the tweezers.. who add a certain... unpredictability to your evening strolls. It’s all part of the charm
Sounds like a description that would be in those GTA manuals:mjlol:

Peppermill is a dope casino with a solid poker room and really nice sportsbook area. Saw MMA/WWF legend Ken Shamrock playing at a cash table while I was playing in a tournament. I think their sportsbook is the best in Reno compared to Atlantis and Grand Sierra.

Tahoe takes an hour plus to get through all the twists and turns in between the mountains. Really dope to explore Tahoe.

Get ready to see a plentiful amount of white and Mexican people in Reno.

If you ever driving I80 leaving or entering CA, leave 1.5/2 hours minimum earlier than planned because of potential delays and accidents.

Sacramento not that far away either. Made drives over to watch a Kings game as well as 1st Round games of March Madness.

I want to get back out to Reno/Tahoe to snowboard again too. Theres some really good ski resorts and it was really fun to learn and improve. Something like a snowboarding trip hitting Tahoe, Mammoth mountain, Sugar Bowl, Mt Rose, etc.

It doesn't take an hour to get to Tahoe from Reno...

Peppermill has the best restaurant in all the casinos, can't remember the name. GSR has the best nightclub...
