I've been saying for years, Beyonce and Jay-Z evoke such strong emotions among black people. It is very strange. Almost like identifying with success is wrong or immoral.



So you object to minstrelsy(your opinion) but endorse drug addiction? Just say you are a hater and keep it moving. Trying to bring ethics into why you like Amy Winehouse and not Beyonce is a losing battle. You can't quantify the "realness" of their singing. And Amy Winehouse literally sounded like a drugged up taxi driver. Just because an artist meets a tragic death doesn't mean we need to deify them. And I shouldn't even call her death tragic. Aaliyah's death was tragic. Left Eye's death tragic, Kurt Cobain's death tragic. A drug addict overdosing is life.

Jay z was a talented rapper.
Beyonce was never talented at anything she did.

lol you can't be serious. Amy Winehouse was corny as almighty. Every couple of years there's some white chick from the UK who is dubbed as "bringing soul back"..Early 2000's it was Joss Stone then Duffy then Lily Allen and so forth.

The Gawdess Beth Gibbons. Not saying she's bringing soul back. But damn she can sing

First of all the "bringing soul back" is overexagerrated....Lily Allen is considered "pop" so when was she ever in that group of people who got deified by the media( i can admit there were some but to include Lily Allen of all people?)

did you listen to amy winehouse first album "Frank" or you just heard the music she released when she got worldwide popularity? i assume its the latter....did you hear the "teach me tonight" performance she did i 2004?

and this statement right here....kiddies can one of you find what is not making sense in the following statement...
