Wrong

I could only pick out good things and write up the same thing for the 80s

And 70s

And 60s

We could cherry pick what was good for any generation

Back in the 90s Chicago and other cities had even MORE deaths per year and gangs were actually killing over colors. Convienently left that out, huh? :comeon:

How old are you, bro?

Felt like Blacks were on the rise. Fresh off of the Crack epidemic, Blacks were pushing education, Reppin Black history, Africa and Malcolm X big time. Black Respect and Optimism was at an all time high. Really felt like we were heading in the right direction.

Now it feels like we're going backwards

This is my only social media outlet now and I like it better this way.

The 90s was the ultimate shyt.

Life was very different pre-9/11. 9/11 brought in a bleak, negative energy and completely ended the easygoing energies of the pre-9/11 era. After the towers came down it was as if everyone entered into an alternate reality filled with paranoia, anger, and confusion. The 90s had an air of lightheartedness and ease that we do not see today.

why you nikkas so obssessed with the past?:gucci:

For corny Millennials, nostalgia offers them a gateway to escape the rigors of adult life.

Big companies know this and exploit it no end, hence the 90s film reboots, untold buzzfeed articles about how the 90s was best ever and Coli threads like this one.

How is it going backwards? :dahell:

I'm pretty sure more blacks are going to college and attaining professional jobs/business ownership, crime rates are much lower than they were in the past, teenage pregnancy is lower, black community isn't being ravaged by crack and heroin, incarceration rates are lower, etc.

Videogames were better in the 2000s tho.

Cameras???:pachaha:

I do miss the sitcoms.

AOL was trash & gateway computers were trash.:trash:

Cartoons were exquisite compared to nowadays. Probably the biggest difference out of all the things you listed.

As far as fashion a lot of things that's cool now is pretty much a throwback of some of the 90s fashion.:manny:

The same thing applies for hairstyles.
