I agree with op. Only cornballs didn’t wear a under shirt under they clothes.

On the real me and all my Pontas in the streets definitely wore one because we live in hot ass New Orleans and to stop sweat to coming into different contact with the main shirt

Any button up or shirts is must to wear some kinda under shirt.

You just look corny and unkeep without it

My chest is too big to be rocking wife beaters under my tees B. Did it in middle and high school and nikkas use to swear I use to walk with my chest out when I didn’t.

It's so the sweat don't funk up your clothes

You know what....how the hell did I forget about that!?!?!?
:wow::snoop:

I'm guilty of wearing a button down white shirt with nothing underneath, but it's winter so I'm usually wearing my coat or a vest on top of it. Having a shirt under would have helped keep me warmer this winter...i'm so stupid.

thanks yo.

I've been wasteful lately....If I sweat into one of my white dress shirts and it stains I have been just giving the shirts to goodwill and buying new ones for 10 dollars at walmart.

I'm going to keep it real. This is a fat guy (tanks) vs in shape guy (no tanks) thing.

Oh fat dudes basically wear a wife beater like a bra? :ohhh:

I don't wear beaters because you can see the imprint in your shirt in the summer when you are sweating and it just looks bumish. In shape nikka problems :sas2::sas1:

I will wear a t-shirt under a white dress shirt but that is only to increase the longevity of the shirt because it cuts down on the yellow sweat stains :hhh:

You guys hygiene :picard:

undershirts/beaters are used to help prevent chest/back sweat from touching your shirts

"The basic purpose of an undershirt is to absorb your sweat. It’s there to provide a defensive layer between your body and your more expensive clothing.

A good undershirt can also provide insulation when needed, and some are worn to “compress” the figure in a slimming attempt. But for the most part it’s a sweat rag. Don’t shy away from thinking of it as such.

The easiest way to explain undershirts is to say that it’s pretty much exactly like underwear for your upper body. Some guys go without it entirely, and lots of guys have their own preferred style, but for most of us it’s a basic necessity that keeps the rest of our clothes from getting gross.

The reason we have so many different styles is that climates and the clothing worn in them can vary widely. A thick, knit undershirt with long sleeves and a high collar makes sense in a snowy winter, but the same wearer might want a short-sleeved variety with a deep V-neck or scoop neck in the summer, so that he can wear short sleeved shirts with the top couple buttons undone.

Add in the really high-tech ones — athletic gear and compression shirts, mostly — and you’ve got a wide range of products. Some are as plain and utilitarian as you can get; the upper-body equivalents of plain white cotton briefs. Others are stylishly designed for visible wear, especially in the athletic sector.

But at the end of the day, they’re all there for the same reason: your body eventually makes the clothes it’s touching pretty gross, and an undershirt is a lot cheaper to wash and eventually replace than your nice clothes."

I'm a normal in-shape person..., and (can) sweat enough where an undershirt is needed. But I see what you mean. Not everyone needs it.

Nothing's wrong with sweating, the point is that the shirts absorb the sweat before touching your actual shirt. Who wants to walk around with a sweaty shirt :hhh:
For me personally that doesn't work when it's hot but that's just me lol.

I agree even in the summertime.

I think I get it from my dad, only difference is that fool tucks his undershirt into his drawls.

Me and my mom was roasting him one day about it he heard us and yelled at us.:lolbron:

This is hilarious...but your Dad is neat with it, lol.

Be a grown man still wearing T shirts when you go out.:hhh: I only wear collared shirts when i leave the house, like an adult.
I wear what I want. Got a closet full of over 60 collared shirts and 20 polos and some umpteen number of cardigans and sweaters. I may wear nothing but that for a month, then I might wear graphic tees from target with jeans for another month. :yeshrug:
