Brias physique is unattainable for most women, so their lashing out is based off of insecurity. Even though Bria’s dark skinned, some black women see her physique as cartoonish, and feel it’s an unfair standard for the average black woman to live up to. They want dark skinned representation but they would rather prefer someone like Lupita(who’s gorgeous by the way) to be the standard, because her dimensions are more achievable without surgery, or exercise. It’s the same way some brehs will call a pretty boy or some other attractive brother who women love, gay. Ppl by and large wanna view themselves in who the masses decide is attractive. I go with my own flow. Me personally I prefer the dark skinned female track physique types. And the dark skinned female body builder types. Not overly muscular tho.



But women get men about finding those Female track star/ female muscular types attractive, as well. Because it goes back to those body types being viewed as cartoonish or unrealistic.

Brias figure is not unattainable especially from Lupitas country of origin. That’s the average woman figure.

Lupita facially is perfect but I can understand why people say she’s not sexually attractive. She’s got a wholesomeness to her. Kinda girl you can bring home to any black family that isnt on their colorism shyt and they’d be like ‘wow she’s pretty’.

I remember years ago I used to have Lupita in my avi and there were a few threads made about her where posters acted upset that people found her attractive.

They would come with the usual arguments that people are only saying she’s attractive because she’s dark skin or they’re militant.. blah blah arguments that were more insulting than discussion worthy.


Maybe it was the Black Panther movie where a lot more folks realized how good looking she is.

Someone asked me why I never mentioned Beyoncé’s skin being smooth and saying I was only saying that because Lupita is dark skinned, I don’t mention Beyoncé’s skin because she’s moley not because she’s light skinned but people compliment womens clear/smooth skin all the time but when it’s Lupita we’re only doing it because she’s dark.

She’s very attractive. Some ppl try to be militant and overdo it by coming for ppl who don’t fine her attractive. But some ppl really do find her legitimately attractive with no agenda attached. Her face is symmetrical, her cheekbones are high, her smile is perfect, her lips are full. I’m not saying she should be the standard or that she’s the baddest woman on earth. But I don’t seen what the fuss is about in regards to ppl finding her legitimately attractive. Don’t let the faux-militancy and the “queen Mother Earth” types make it seem like ppl can’t just find her to attractive with no agenda attached.




I agree tho. If someone calls you a colorist for not finding her attractive, then that person is trying too hard and is clearly on a faux-militancy wave. You can easily decipher which ones are going for an agenda and which ones really do find her to be a baddie.

Only “European” standards I can even think of is long straight hair which is attractive on any woman. Outside of mid 90s Nia Long or maybe a handful of others, short hair on women don’t cut it. And even the ones who can pull it off almost always look better with long hair.

Doesnt necessarily have to be straight either, a black woman with a natural Afro will be more than one trying to pull off the Nia Long only to have u like

This has always been my thing. If you or others find her attractive cool because it doesn't have nothing to do with me. I'm just not for the if I don't think she's attractive its MJ smilies and the like but if I say a LS chick is unattractive nobody questions that. People don't even see how patronizing that looks if DS women can't be attractive or unattractive just because not treated like their LS or other counterparts. I will say offline is isn't as bad but still happens.
