A lot of it is portion sizes and food availability in the United states, i eat relatively healthy myself and even i have had to start tracking my food because I couldn't Guesstimate how much I was actually eating. The average person don't know how to track calories, weigh foods etc, it's a process that has to be learned in your youth.

I use macro factor it recommend it to everyone great app with ai that recalculate your maintenance as you maintain lose or gain weight

You shouldn't have to do all that though, really, unless you're bodybuilding. You think people living 1000 or even 100 years ago had to track all their calories?

I think as long as you avoid sugar (especially soft drinks) and too many unhealthy carbs you should be good. Personally I'm 5'9/160ish and I've never had to track calories or do anything special to avoid weight gain. I don't think most people should have to be on super strict diets where they're counting every calorie just to avoid obesity. Just lay off the sugar so you don't become insulin resistant.

Food is lab designed and tested to be as addictive as possible.
Granted some people can consume it and have no issues. Some people can also have a drink and have it not derail their life or spend an evening at a casino and not have it. destroy their finances. Everyone isn't susceptible to the same problems with addiction.

Portion sizes was a lot different 1000 years ago, doesn't matter what you eat if you're overeating protein with no sugar you can still gain weight . It's calories in versus calories out and of the day. Yes everyone should cut it sugar I agree

Midwest got hella big backs and auntie shoulders. When I was out west I didn’t see that many porky pigs :patrice:
Always was confused by that. I can understand the South having bigger people because the diets have been predisposed to that for centuries, but wtf are folks eating in the Midwest? They almost on par w the South in terms of obesity.

Why not tell a heroin addict to just stop doing heroin? It's that simple right? Anybody battling any addiction knows it's not as simple as just don't do it. It's a battle a lot of people lose.

People are addicted to all sorts of chemicals they put in their bodies why is it food addiction is treated like it's different?
Right It's called the Food Drug Administration for a fukking reason. They have all the additives in the food. Like all that gym shyt sounds cool but the real fight is the shyt they putting in the food in the first place that gets these mfs so addicted.

Portion sizes weren't that much different 60 years ago, yet the number of obese people was a fraction of what it is now. Better quality food and less sedentary lifestyles back then. The shyt aint complicated

My point is though, your brain should naturally regulate your appetite without you having to count calories. Otherwise everybody with access to extra food would be obese.

As long as you're not having blood sugar spikes due to too much sugar you should know when you're full. If I'm out at a restaurant I'm not going to just force myself to eat the entire meal if I'm full just because of large portions, I'll just take the rest home.

Portion sizes were significantly different 60 years ago, additionally the additives we have in our foods were different.
