- People falling for multiple incremental okey-dokes: "oh its just illegal criminals Hispanics" "oh its just illegals Hispanics" "oh its just immigrants" "oh some Americans will get mixed up in collateral arrests from time to time" (source) "oh they can't deport them all so they'll have to detain some"
- Detaining immigrants - or people they claim are immigrants - in Guatanamo where no media or public will be able to see their holding conditions (source)
- Control of all the major social media platforms in Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Questionably TikTok - which is still being pressured to sell
- Downsizing the government via Elon and DOGE while also being able to fill any lost positions with even more loyalists (Outlined in Project 2025 (source). All new federal employees have to say how loyal they are to him (Source)
- Trump openly making power grabs and signing Executive Orders that exceed his executive powers, triggering lawsuits that will take months and years to resolve while he and Elon force out people who question or sue or resist, as they have been. By the time the lawsuits resolve it'll be too late to actually matter that federal employees were forced out illegally and were subsequently replaced (source)
- Investigations into "neutral" educational media areas that they can't control such as NPR and PBS to normalize this idea of traitorous media he can target (source)
- The pardoning of the January 6th insurrections signaling that if anyone commits violence in Trump's name, Trump has their back
- The ongoing threats MAGA sends to people who don't obey Trump, whether they're democrat or republican
- Economic collapse ready to trigger due to either the robbing of the federal government or the tariffs or both, at which point protests are far more likely - and then he can trigger the martial law button and remain in power to "maintain peace" (source)
I don't know how people see all this and don't see the play. So people must not be seeing all this
