I ask this because this thread made me think of the "Ghana gal in Istanbul" thread and I'm reminded of African heritage chicks i knew or knew about that went on to marry white, asian, or Hispanic, and rarely black. Makes me wonder why some African Americans try so hard to tie themselves to "the motherland" when so many people from there look down on us while also longing to be with the people that stole (and still steal from minorities) and enslaved indigenous people around the world

Not quite true....there were slaves on Southern plantations that looked whiter than her that still had to live like their darker kin.

During the Civil War, white union soldiers were when they saw "black" slaves/free blacks that looked white as them in abundance in Virginia

This picture that some whites tend to post as an example of "White/Irish" slavery in the USA is actually a picture of ADOS slaves that were very fair skinned
