Doesn't matter about popularity contests, they are both great coaches

Jeff sent an 8th seeded Knicks with an injured Ewing to the Finals. Stan took a team of misfits Orland Magic to the Finals. Both had amazing defensive systems and brought the most out of players. Dwight Howard has his best years under Stan, and hasn't had any great seasons after he left
Remember Stan was the reason the Heat was good in the first place. Pat Riley came at the end and stole the glory
99 run was impressive, but jeff hasn't done much as a coach since then. He clashed with star players, turned francis into a glorified role player while running yao ming to the ground, didn't get along with T-Mac that much neither. Constant 1st round exits in houston and a typical old school coach who likes to control things and trade the players he didn't like. I keep seeing folks mention jeff's name every year when teams search for a coach, why? Teams ain't signing coaches who made it to the finals 20 years ago. This is a whole new league right now.

Now for Stan, Heat ain't that type of franchise that just loves to fire people to take their shine. Look how much trust they put into guys like Spoelstra. When you got Shaq and Wade you are supposed to do great things in eastern conference, they fired him because players didn't like him and the season start was bad like 10-10 or something. Soo Riley took over and did what he had to do.

Dwight was going to have his best years in Orlando no matter who coached, it was his physical prime years, of course he wasn't the same after the back injury he had, and he still couldn't develop a larger arsenal of the offensive moves. Stan did not develop them young guys, by the 07-08 season when stan joined Orlando already had established players like Lewis or Turkoglu who were in their late 20s. The 09 run was a fluke, the Celtics had no KG, you know that cause you are boston fan, right? And they still almost beat magic. No more success after that one finals run, and his stint in Detroit was horrible. Overrated coach, he 60 years old now teaching dudes in their 20s....how Sway?

It's going to be interesting to see if the owner of the team will try to suppress his presence on Twitter because he definitely tells the truth about the incumbent in office and how his followers don't understand the plight of Black Americans.

I think it's a decent hire, but Stan was never a savant on the offensive end but he's had decent teams defensively. It'll be nice to see what his staff looks like.

Also, are the Pelicans still utilizing the Saints medical staff?

well they do need to learn play defense, so a good hire. Zion's "defense" in the bubble was some of the sorriest shyt i've seen in my life.

he's capable of getting them to a playoff level in a couple years imo.

My goodness Zion WAS TRASH in the bubble.

Okay, Rookie that has not seen the court enough.

These white coaches who never won anything get 4 or 5 jobs. While talented black coaches never get a gig or when they do it is a terrible job with a gutted roster and they get fired and never get another chance.

Could have went with a worse higher at least i can say. Stan will probably get them in the playoffs but will probably need replacing once/if they ever are ready for the next level.

By the time they start playing again Trump either won't be in office or will be getting ready to vacate the office anyway.
