I salute Pee Wee for not blaming his mama for his ending up in prison. Too often people make excuses for doing things that have adverse consequences because they were dealt a bad hand or because their parents couldn't provide them with an environment or situation that was perfect. Yeah no one is saying Frank Lucas wasn't a drug dealer, he was, but he was just one of the many of that era. He wasn't a stand out. Now I'm not saying this for fact because obviously I wasn't there, but that's how his contemporaries say. And you can say they're bitter because he got a movie, but Guy Fisher, Nicky Barnes, Pee Wee Kirkland, Frank Mathews etc, no one ever disputes they were legendary in the streets. You would think one person from that era would come out and cosign Frank's story yet nobody has. Like I said I'm sure he made a couple millions selling heroin but that's far different then how he portrays himself. He acted like he was bigger than Nicky Barnes.
