The Cinematography is great in this shyt, the dialogue is really really well written, acting is the best you'll find on anything (movies or TV) there are some dope quotables that I need to look up.

What i love most is the music. so fukking good. I love this trend of period pieces using unusual music, in this instance it's mostly rock music, the white stripes, nick cave and the bad seeds, tom waits, jack white...so god damn good. That nick cave and the bad seeds red right hand song always reminds me of Scream instantly.

i love the shot selection of it also, i dont care for the music. the shyt is like in the 1930's and its some super modern rock shyt half the time.. i dont really dig that

The Knick is set in the early 1900s and uses 100% synth soundtrack (i know thats a lil different from using somewhat modern rock, but still, I dig the unique choices). I think the rock music works marvelously with the grittiness and violence of the show

also, some of the songs they pick are directly related to the show, metaphorically speaking. it's very well chosen songs
