I think it's understood that Payola is alive and well.

shyt the fukkboys at Hot 97 and Power 105 won't even play your shyt if it's not popping in the streets or in the club, which in of itself requires you to be either cool with a DJ or pay him

The industry plant thing has worked time and time again as the consumer got smarter. I blame people more than labels, there are actually people in this world who think French Montana is where he is because the public demanded it.

Great thread, great article posted last page too

Its important to just enjoy the music regardless, but I always question people who blindly like whatever radio, BET or social media is telling them. Don't you ever ask yourself, why is everyone constantly retweeting this same things over and over, not just your friends, but celebrities, and why is this song playing 50 times a day??? :snoop:

Like dude said, the "hidden deal" is like saying "the sky is blue" to people in the know, but Im surprised how unaware of this young people are in this day n age

Yea, some people think they're not being blind by rejecting MMG, and then go with the ridiculous internet Odd Future/Chance the Rapper hype. Labels got everything covered right now.
