Same, ultimately I've come to terms with the fact I haven't been content let alone happy since I was kid, and I don't have hopefulness, optimism, or aspirations anymore. Just going through the motions, I just don't see it, anymore, drive is diminishing along with determination. Idk what the timeline on getting revitalized is but in those moments where I'm not scrolling threads or doing schoolwork, or working, or sleeping all I think about is the missteps, mistakes and Ls that brought me to this point, and how life is so much worse than people sold it to me as a jit.

I'll get over at some point probably, but the existential dread will always be tucked in the pocket to some degree :mjcry:

Continuous Ls has been my life story, I hear you breh.

All I can do is get rid of debt so I can figure how to feel some kind of freedom for the first time in my life.

In between jobs, I was actually the happiest I had ever been. I do not need to work to be happy, satisfied, or content.

I wanna go back to that feeling without the wage slave mentality :wow:

It's always been like that. 'Suicide season' as i call it, is from Nov to Feb due to all these back to back money spending, emotion driven events. The change of weather doesn't help things either

Thanksgiving
Christmas
New Years
Valentine's Day

It can put you over the edge if you're lonely & also (further) in debt

Go right ahead, I'd welcome it
I'd recommend Feeling great by David Burns and Personal Values by Mark Manson

David Burns also has a great podcast called "Feeling Good Podcast", where they discuss real life shyt and how to overcome it. He's one of the founding fathers of CBT Therapy (the most popular) and has made strides that aren't really in full practice by most other therapists. It's good shyt, i've had a few "Aha" moments, and overall feel much better about myself

Personal Values is kind of a kick in the ass to get you on the track living your values and not by please/pain or transactional shyt.

I enjoy any book from Mark Manson, dude is great at getting his information across to you.

I know this wasn't directed at me, but good looking out :ehh:

I recommend The Upside to Stress by Kelly McGonigal

Since stress is a biological function, it made me embrace it rather than run away from it.

This is the absolute truth. If you can’t make sure you are ok then you damn sure can’t make sure anyone else is.

Don’t stress yourself out, if you can’t do it, you can’t do it. No need in stressing yourself out over shyt you can’t afford.

The beauty of growing up poor and dead broke. Once you you come up and end up down again, it ain't no thang. You know how to survive and be frugal again. If you came from money and all of a sudden become lower class. Folks like that can't take it and end up fukked in the head.

Im blessed. Doing good for myself and lucky I still have a job. If it came down to it, I ain't even trippin off PB&J breakfasts and top ramen dinners.
