Haiti, Costa Rica, Panama
Oh? Post proof of poverty black face in Haiti. I think you're purposely misinforming people. The majority of people in countries like Costa Rica and Panama are Mestizos, not blacks, so their doing something racist has little bearing on anything. Mestizos speak Spanish and black Carribean countries typically don't have an abundance of them. There are racist Hispanics all over the Americas who do racist things precisely because there are few blacks to check them.
To whit, I have never seen Haitians do blackface Almost all Haitians are black and I have never seen or known them dress to ridicule themselves. My family is from the Carribean and we do Carnival every year. Nobody puts tar on their skin and uses tar baby, slavery, etc references. Your assertion that OP's pictures are commonplace in "the rest of the world" is false as it applies to the Carribean, and likely everywhere else too. I lived in a Carribean country for 3 years and half of my friends are Carribean. Carnival is about bright colors, fanciful costumes, dancing and music. I can't think of any black Carribean person that finds it OK to mock blacks with inferiority, dirty, slavery, etc vibes. Carribean people are descended from the same lineage of slave master the African Americans are; just in a different place.
