my wife is a physical therapist and from what shes hearing in reports (fractured fibula and tibia) she said hes probably out for a good 2 years and to keep in mind that theres a ligament between those two bones, if damaged will take awhileeeeee to heal. sucks. :snoop: i hope he recovers.
your wife is the worst physical therapist in the world or you are lying.

ligaments are around your joints (because they are connecting different bones). George broke his tibia (your tibia is below your knee, but you and your physical therapist wife knew this :troll:).

If George broke his ankle, you can go in. It looks like he broke his tibia.

Play for free brehs
It's pretty odd that cats are all patriotic and shyt compared to Europe but in Europe it's an honor to represent the nation in sports.

But are you telling me that you haven't played basketball for free :dead:

Just go out right now and you'll see cats playing ball for free :what:, a lot of cats actually love the game not just the money and fame. Specially young dudes who are supposed to be able to play these type of games without their bodies getting fukked,

There's theories about the amount of muscle athletes havinf being higher and the impact plus the contraction of muscle causing these issues but it's all just theory nothing that has been proven
that cant be right. george isnt that muscular. the other guy that snapped his leg was skinny. it has to have something to do with landing at an angle (vs straight down) which applies torque (rotational force) to the leg but the leg becoming locked (as in the case of george's foot getting trapped by the shooting station) which causes the torque to break it as it continues to apply rational force onto it.

kevin ware's injury is more mysterious. you can see his foot locking up after coming down at an angle creating the same kind of torque problem. the question is why did his foot lock into place instead of going with the rotational force

is it the shoes?

i'm an internal medicine doc who also admits orthopedic patients in conjunction with the ortho docs...if it's simply a compound fracture of the tib-fib without neurovascular damage, then he should be fine in 6-8 months (although it was closer to the ankle than alot of tib fib fractures), bones heal very well and he'll obviously have access to the best surgeons/physical therapists/trainers/nutrition, etc. What you don't want to happen is post-operative infection.

its funny how the body reacts to trauma. when cats tear a ligament like the acl, i've seen nikkas start crying out in pain. But with a broken leg, its like the body doesn't even want that type of pain to register immediately :merchant:
yeah, the endorphines kick in quick.

The real fear would be if he saw his leg. That shock is immediate. I remember seeing a soccer player break his leg, and they had to get an oxygen mask on him to help wth his breathing.

No but seriously I can't believe this. What a FREAK ACCIDENT. If that was KD his whole body woulda snapped. I'm glad to see people are saying he will play again because I thought he was done.

He probably was in some state of shock IIRC tibia is one of the worst bones you can break.

this. i'm hoping to god there is no other damage but the broken bones. breaking bones might look horrible, but they are the easier to recover from than torn achilles or ACLs. he might be able to play in the playoffs if its simply broken bones. the worst thing for him would be damage to nerves and blood vessels aound the bones. that would make it difficult for him to come back as the player we knew him.
