Can't evangelize and antagonize at the same time
Well...he wants to show tolerance to gays. And let them know they can come to him for strength and guidance.
He says homosexuality was only discussed in the Old Testament which is wrong...but that Sunday he was doing his best to.
Also not sinning is not about being a good Christian, its about increasing your spirituality. God is neither Christian, Muslim, or Jewish...but if you want to learn about the divine I would not recommend to go at it alone. Those teachings are crucial.
Sin is sin, though. A liar or thief will go to hell just the same.

I actually go to his church. The Pastor already does some questionable things as it is. Like on youth day, allowing the kids to perform a step routine to the instrumental of "these hoes ain't loyal" 
Or the time muthafukkas was playing Frankie Beverly and maze and niccas was two stepping and electric sliding all in the pulpit, choir stands and congregation

He's not really pandering he's telling the truth though. There's a lot of things in the bible called abomination and things you should be put to death for, but nobody talks about them cause its easier to just say "God made Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve."

We are talking about two different things.
I'm talking prayer and worship, you talking about religion.
I'm a Christian, and I still can acknowledge the drawbacks of organized religion.
And a lot of things have been tainted, suppressed, or manipulated for agendas by all religious leaders. So neither the Jews, Christians, or Muslims are innocent.
But there is a reason why the Bible feels so abrupt in certain passages, even the story of Adam and Eve is incomplete.
But if I want someone to follow God, I still have to send them either to the ancient texts in Africa or send them to the Holy Scriptures.

Im saying the bible is a book written thousands of years ago and aint got shyt to do with life in the 21st century and you'd be an idiot to use it as a guide to your life.
And if you actually read your bible, you'd see where it says it wasn't because of homosexuality that God destorted the city, it was because they were prideful, gluttonous, and they shytted on poor people (Ezekiel 16)
And FYI, there's a shyt ton of things God calls abominations, here's my favorite one:
16 These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:
17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,
19 A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.
That's right, if you stir up problems among the members in your own community, God says that's an abomination too.
But it's easier to just harp on homos than address the fact half your congregation got side pieces

Has spirituality changed since? In Benin or Togo they are worshiping spirits that have been around way before the Bible was ever thought of...and yes, those spirits still hold their own in the 21st Century. The Bible has always been about spirituality and God. Not sure why anyone feels like God is out place in the 21st century.

We're not talking about African spiritual systems though we're talking about Christianity as practiced in America.
And FYI there is no God in the average Christian church. It's why you can go to the poorest, most fukked up communities in America (and even the world to keep it 100) and you'll find a shyt ton of churches essentially doing nothing for the community.
