Oh so mentioning some ok fighter, that Toney didnt beat to inflates my perception of Toney, is a legit argumant right though.........:comeon:

Miss me with the posting random belt keepers from the legendary shytty 154-160 divisions, Floyd was mentioned since yall want to partake in hyperbole's if Nunn is a great, Ricky fukking Hatton is a fukking lock HOF:camby:

Is 154-160 shytty now
Was it shytty 5 years ago
Welp how about 5 years before that.................Sounds like a shytty division to me

As long as BHOP reigned his career defining fights were against WW's. To pick a MW from his resume we have to start talking about Joppy, and Howard fukking Eastman..........................................

154-160 is historically weak the reason you have a blown up WW running nikkas off at 154, and the reason why a nikka that cant even beat Margarito lowly ass has been reigning terror over that division for years now, not to mention Bhop, Roy and Toney all questionable resumes

so in your words you think 154-160 was just a swimming pool of mediocrity since the early 90s and no great fighter much less a hall of fame fighter or any great/good/notable fights have come out of it? :patrice:..well thank you for confirming once again that you don't know what the fukk you're talking about

Who did he beat of substance he was floating around a WW-lMW divisions during the Hagler, Duran, Leanard, Hearns era...........
Milton McCrory, Marlon Starling, Adolfo Viruet, Nino La Rocca, Jun Suh Hwang, Ellio Diaz, Colin Jones. All good fighters

I'd put take the Curry that destroyed McCrory up against almost any WW. He was that damn good.

It's a damn shame he fell off so hard after that

I score the first 3 Marquez-Pacquiao fights all for Pacquiao. Everyone hollers Marquez maybe deserved 2 of them, I don't see it. I have watched each one 2 or 3 times and every time coming away scoring all for Pacquiao.
And I am not even that big of a Pacquiao fan, I have become one in the last year or two...but before that, I always kinda hoped he lost...because I was more of a Mayweather fan.
The first fight I had the closest and scored more rounds for Marquez, but the KD's gave the points edge to Manny.

Also originally watching as a teen new to boxing I thought Castillo beat Mayweather in both the fights (the commentary and HBO scoring I am sure affected this). Always felt  about Mayweather's unblemished record. I have since gone on to watch those fights several times each and now feel that although close, Mayweather won those on the cards.

As far as Castillo he wasnt really landing shyt, I still waiting years for haters to post one clean shot he landed on Floyd in the 1st match, coupled with him losing the 1st 5-6 rounds easily, its not even a point to discuss, and Mayweather instantly closed the book on that chapter showing the world he was hurt..........:manny:

Commentary is a dangerous thing though, it can certainly sway you from what your watching, with your own eyes, I came across this in Manny Bradley, it was a toss up fight, but the way they were saying Manny was dominating I quit keeping score and shrugged off anything Bradley did. Even though Im sure Manny pulled up and took his foot off the gas to avoid a Mayweather match, that doesnt change about what commentary could do

That is a point I remember hearing after the fight, regarding Castillo not landing clean shots. I remember the criticism of the judges not scoring it for Castillo and then I read an article where a sports news company (don't know who it was, like USA Today, or ESPN) was trying to come up with pictures of Castillo landing punches, and their camera guys didn't have one picture of Castillo landing a clean shot.
Re-watching it now, you definitely can see that Castillo executed the plan of smothering Floyd and moving forward against him...however, Floyd's defense was still so good that although the game plan worked, he just didn't land clean punches on Mayweather and IMO Mayweather won the first fight (second fight was much easier to score for May) because Mayweather landed clean punches and Castillo's were mostly blocked or glancing.

Ugly ugly match, Castillo showed to trouble Floyd you have to smother him showing no respect for his power cause Floyd could bang contrary to popular beliefs. Hatton and Cotto both tried this, and Hatton had the best foot work to make this happen, Floyd just grew by leaps in bounds after that fight, he's a much better fighter off the ropes, throwing laser counters at every instant, and he also understands when someone is content on holding and smothering to throw bullshyt punches with them to keep up the activity like in the Cotto match.......
