I don't know if this was already said but...I honestly believe that "prime Tyson" is a myth. How the fukk is he the only fighter that was out of his prime by his mid-twenties? That makes zero sense. Most fighters don't even hit their so called "prime years" until 29-30. That's when they're at their absolute best. In reality, Tyson won most of his early fights before he ever stepped foot in the ring, which makes Cus D'Amato a genius.

people always believe a fighters prime or peak period is 25-30, i disagree with that theory. i don't believe there is a general age for a fighters prime. you can say that physically but as far as overall skill, guys like juan diaz(peaked at 24), pavlik (25) and vargas (peaked at 22-23), that's young. Sergio martinez on the other hand prime was clearly in his mid 30's. I can add lennox lewis to the list as well. lennox lost his athletic ability as he went into his 30's but his strength was always his intelligence and power. he gained more experience and got better as years went by and became an elite fighter at heavyweight. alot of people think his prime was in the holyfield fight (his 30's)

Breh, it's not like he's been through countless wars by the time he went to jail. Why would his style take a toll on his body? If anything, he took a lot less punishment than the average boxer. I'm sorry, but no professional athlete hits his physical prime at 19-20 years old and then starts falling off at 25-26.
U should read tysons book
He was half assing training, doing drugs, drinking alcohol and not giving a fukk
His body never recovered, nor did his mental

Evan fields was roiding hard and should be erased from the records or have an asterisk next to every win he has.
Vernon won the rematch against mayorga although his performance wasn't impressive whatsoever.
Pernell won at least 8 rounds against dela homo.
Pernell pratically shut out chavez sr and it's one of the worst robberies I've ever seen.
Mike tyson never had a prime since your physical prime is around 25-28 or so.

random stuff

Don't think and never thought tim bradley is anything special
cruiserweight is the best division in boxing today
i see very little potential greatness in this current generation of top boxers..plenty of good fighters though
canelo is a style clash away from having his stamina issues exposed (punisher was going to be that style..there's also a few more)
140-147 are the marquee divisions but politics and fighters not fighting each other are killing those divisions
154 is a simmering division but until floyd gives up both of those belts and their fighters start fighting each other it will remain simmering
112 and 130 are woefully underrated divisions
chris byrd and winky wright are fighters i hated watching during their time but ive grown to appreciate more in their retirement
omar figueroa lost his prime in the arakawa fight
riddikk bowe does not belong in the hall of fame
Wladimir klitschko is the best fighter and top p4p in boxing today. I honestly can't see him losing decisively outside of a upset KO.
PBC is nothing different from Shobox/TruTV/FNF due to its matchmaking
Pacquiao-Mayweather did boxing way more harm than good. DLH-Trinidad was just as bad except those 2 were in their primes and there were still other marquee stars carrying the sport which lessened the impact of the superfight fail
David Haye and Devon Alexander are the 2 of the biggest examples of accomplished fighters who wasted their talents without the help of any vices..thats unique lol
Deontay Wilder = Seth Mitchell.
The card with Povetkin-Wach in Russia is the best and most enjoyable card ive seen all year
Never liked Kelly Pavlik and thought he was average as all hell
Ricky Hatton wasn't shyt as a welterweight..all his big fights there were struggles (same goes for Robert Guerrero)
Antonio Margarito was a top 3 Welterweight in the last decade

thats it for now..let me go do this morning run outside so i can go to work

Miguel Cotto>>>>>>> Tito tranidad

Kneeguel's only legit loss is against may and pac. Losing to hand wraps and nikkas that out weigh him by 20 pounds don't count.

Gamboa's career never really recovered from not getting that anticipated JuanMa fight. When he finally did get a big fight (against Crawford) he was already slightly past his prime and was facing a bigger guy with better skills.

On the other hand Salido's career took off after the JuanMa fights even though he's had some losses afterward, he's always in marquee fights that turn out exciting.
