I kinda laughed when I saw OP thread title but when I really think about it - what really separates Simmons from Siakam?
I've watched almost every single one of Siakam's games since he got drafted and I've seen his development year after year with STILL room to grow.
Simmons looks like the exact same player he was in college and his game hasn't elevated much since and he still cant shoot. Simmons could maybe one day grow into a more well rounded player but it doesn't seem like he has that drive, unlike Siakam whose game has improved every year.
If I need one for a season today - I'm taking Siakam. He would give your team much more than Simmons who puts up pretty numbers but is not an impact player yet
Siakam hustling + defense >>> Simmon's passing and vision
Siakam low key a decent passer too but that's not his role on the team but he has the vision to be a playmaker himself with the way he can open the floor, handle the ball and see the court at his size. I can see him averaging 4-5 assist a game as he continues to develop
