But Siakim definitely has blossomed in this role of positionless basketball and should be in MIP conversations. He’s Been beasting this year. Simmons really needs to just shoot jumpers, his shyt ain’t even all that broken at least form wise. Maybe the rumors are true and he should shoot right handed. Him at least posing a threat to shoot outside would make this Sixers team much better. But as it stands right now, it’s the polar opposite and he’s hindering and hurting the team greatly.

I'ma tell you man... I like that damn Siakim...I was watching him against my bum ass bulls and was blown away by his aggression and willingness to attack relentlessly... He was also all over the court.. Every 50/50 ball was his and he was extremely slithery around the basket with good double bounce... It was impressive

I believe team record or collective success does matter in these individual awards it's a oxymoron but it is what it is. Raptors will finish top 3 in the East giving Siakam more visibility including during playoff time. In addition, Raptors have a winning record without Leonard and I am talking about overwhelmingly over .500 and Siakam has had an impact on that.
While nobody watches the Hawks because they are at the bottom of the conference (not making the playoffs) and people are likely to conclude that John Collins stats are empty or don't really move the needle in the team winning.
