I'm assuming it's gonna be like all the other remakes of ridiculous/campy shyt like Total Recall, Robocop, and Point Break where they actually try to play it straight and completely miss the charm that made the whole thing work in the first place - or they act so embarrassed by the material that they make it annoyingly smug and ironically detached.

It's like they're trying to "fix" the absurd shyt when the absurd shyt is what made people like it to begin with
