Ideally, you want a movie that’s going to intrigue them, but isn’t overly complex where it will require all their attention. Something like Tenet would be a horrible choice. I’ve been using, “The Photograph” a lot. It’s a solid joint and a lot of women haven’t seen it yet. Also, don’t be afraid to ask what they like to watch. I love when women say they like horror or musicals. I’ll put on Five Heartbeats and be smashing before Bird gets hung over the balcony.

If they say horror: I’ll put on Hereditary.
If they say sci-fi, I might go with something like Gattaca. Fortunately, I’m a lifelong movie buff so I typically know hundreds on movies they haven’t seen. I love it when a plan comes together.

If it’s not a horror movie or thriller series, I’m not watching. Save it. I dislike all of that sappy moody love romcoms ... ugggggh (except for Love Jones). I have no feelings.

Right now I’m watching the “SnowPiercer” series. I suggest you get on board (pun intended). 3 episodes in and the body count is at least 40 dead people, 4 hacked legs and arms, two chopped off hands, 20 spontaneously frozen people; a train morgue full of people in self induced comas as punishment for their crimes since jail doesn’t exist on Snowpiercer and a train car full of dead cows frozen stiff which means the food supply is reduced = starvation. The snow avalanche special affects are amazing!!!! The train has been in perpetual motion bc if they stop it - everyone will freeze to death. Let the hunger games and death fights begin - my type of series.

Its a good thing I never watched that show.

In this movie, it appears that she us embracing blackness, I've never seen her do that before, usually she plays the awkward mulatto archetype.

@Bryan Danielson this was good^^^ I did actually like this movie. It’s not a rom com per se - more of a romantic tragedy.

I've seen worse romantic tragedies, Diane lane ain't shiet though
