If it's frowned upon why are the communities known for it? High and wide people know about acid throwing Muslims. Want to take a look at the literacy rates and income in these regions and give it another shot? If I were a woman and lived in these region I would expect it. I would wake up everyday like "today is the day someone is going to throw acid on me. I'm just not sure what reason they will pick though. Did I try to get an education? Did I stare at Muhammad too long? Did I stare at Aisha too long? Did I drop a Koran? Was I late for prayer? Was my face not covered?"

Organized religion has a ton of faults... a ton. And mainly because the uneducated have no sense of rationality more often than not.

But that's a culture over there that very few are going to attempt to break or change. So you can say "get rid of religion" all you want... take religion out of the picture and the same things will keep happening. Those ideals are ingrained in that region.

They're magazines. The point I was making is it shows numerous communities over a number of decades. I could just have easily said BBC or any other international service it's not as though these incidents were some conspiracy. They are well documented the victims are well documented. National Geographic is well respected. You're clearly in denial.

I agree that it is well respected, but even they would tell you that with their journalists and photographers, they only give a limited perspective and not the whole picture. I gave you an updated, truthful and firsthand experience from a woman or color's perspective. Actually, there have been instances in major bazaars of Peshawar where men are randomly throwing acid at women who come to the market alone, because they felt that women should not leave the house without a mehram. My friend's dad was the Corps Commander for Peshawar a few years ago and had to deal with this issue.

First of all I'm not defending this action I'm just laughing at the hypocrisy of the hate from southern america because they are hardly the people to be talking about societies and how far they are behind everyone and how savage other people are.
