Dallas Cowboys are nepotism capital. Most former Cowboys (not Jimmy guys) are position coaches. Garrett own brother works in the offices. I wouldn't be surprised if Witten is the next coach. It's a poorly ran actual football team but the franchise is thriving. Jerruh won
This is how inept this franchise is.
After going 13-3 in 2007, they entered the draft with 2 first round picks. With Marion Barber never proven to be a 3 down back, they decided they wanted to get a change of pace back. And draft Felix Jones
Even if you feel you need a running back, fine. I can't be mad at that. But this was one of the deepest drafts for running backs
Their number 2 WR was Patrick Crayton. They passed on Desean Jackson
They needed a corner back as well. SO they could've traded up to get Taliq Aqib or DRC, and STILL got a running back in the 3rd round.
So
The 2008 draft class was a waste
The 2009 draft class was a waste (no first or 2nd round picks) (Because they traded their first round pick for ROY WILLIAMS, when they could've drafted Desean Jackson the year before)
The 2010 draft class was a waste. They traded up to get Dez Bryant, and the Patriots got Devin McCourty. They could've got Golden Tate or Emanuel Sanders in later rounds. Then they draft Sean Lee in the second round even though he wasn't going to play at all that year, and passed on another Penn St. linebacker NaVorro Bowman.
So outside of the 2016 draft, Dallas hasn't done shyt when it comes to acquiring talent.
