And this is squarely on Jerry. He has costed this organization from having success because of his love of Jason Garrett. He has ruined careers because of this love of Garrett who was never qualified to be a coordinator much less head coach. So I hope he has enjoyed what he saw on the field. It could not have happened to a better guy.

@BlueHeffner Mickey just said on the radio that the Eagles played single high safety the entire game. I know the Eagles are known for that but Dak being unable to beat these bums once when they were daring him is so gottdamn pathetic. He lost serious money today.
The eagles? Hell every team has done that to him since 2017 and he rarely beats them.

knew it... Jason or this team never gets up for big games,,, we should be used to it by now

i know the cowboys... so this will happen...

Giants beat Eagles, in which dallas can win division, b.u.t will loose to Redskins...

Garret is getting 1 year extension, all the coordinators will be scapegoated and fired.
There is no way Garrett gets an extension unless they get to the super bowl so nah.

North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
Dawg there are so many holes to fill this offseason on this roster. The Cowboys are not gonna be ready for a deep playoff run for another 3-5 years.

Overpay in Free Agency for:
  • A new QB. Dak can kick rocks
  • A new DT..not one of these short quick ones either. Get a big fat space eater. I don't trust the front office to draft DL consistently.
  • An actual BALLHAWK in the secondary, all of those clowns are replaceable...looking at you Woods you INT dropping bytch

My 1st and/or 2nd round picks for the next two drafts (best player available):
  • An authentic WR1. Give me CeeDee Lamb. Coop can kick rocks, we need someone for 8 home games + 8 away games
  • Best CB or S to compliment our ballhawk that we acquire in FA. Bryce Hall (CB) or Xavier McKinney (S)

They need to start trading some of these offensive lineman. That's where a lot of their resources are allocated. They are probably the most disappointing group. 4 of them got big contracts.

co-sign all of this

breh just imagine how much better off we would be if the damn front-office made the smart draft choices that most of us suggested instead of getting cute:

TJ Watt is about to win DPOY
Juan Thornhill is a beast meanwhile Xavier Woods dropping easy picks and Trysten Inactive Hill can't even be a part of this weak DL rotation we have

Never thought of this...

That being said...shopping Tyron or Frederick out there to see what I can get back.

TJ Watt/Soft burrito feels like the Randy Moss/Greg Ellis pick all over again. Granted Ellis was actually productive.:snoop:

I honestly feel bad for Hill. He would have been the perfect pick in the 3rd or 4th round. Oh well...maybe the next DC can get the best out of him.

where jerry going to find another yes man puppet?
no real coach is gonna come here and work under Jerry. The only way to take this team seriously is when Jerry have transitioned. sad b.u.t true.

That excuse is played out. I seriously doubt Jones wants a puppet. Honestly if you break down all of the coaches that have been hired under Jones, I would say none of them were puppets.

Barry Switzer was basically a stop gap to eek out what was left of the triplets. Chan Gailey inherited a mismanaged roster. He never really got a chance to do anything.

Dave Campo was another stop gap. Again, the roster was trash.

Jones finally hires Parcells to help clean up the mess, but more importantly, he needed to help turn shyt around because he was in the middle of trying to get a new stadium built. Parcells was on his last leg, but he helped build that roster.

Unfortunately, all of Parcells best coordinators left before Jones had a chance to entertain the position. Wade Phillip's was hired because of his expertise in the 3-4. He didn't want to have to rebuild the defense again.

But Phillip's was never a good head coach. Garrett turns down the opportunity to be the head coach of the Ravens and that's where shyt gets tricky. Jones gave Garrett the job because of his ties to the cowboys.

He's also held on to Garrett longer than he should have because he regrets not sticking with Chan Gailey longer, plus he probably felt like he owes Garrett for not leaving after one season.

Then you have to look at the coaching landscape. There have been a ton of hot coordinators who have been hired away from winning teams and they don't do shyt. Look no further than ex New England Patriots coordinators who failed miserably as head coaches.

Finding a great head coach isn't easy. If it were, every team would have one. Dallas has talent, but are thin at multiple positions. As for Garrett and a few players, their window has closed. Time to move on. Whoever Jones hires, I feel as though they should be allowed to hire their own coaches. Head coaches should not have to inherit hand me down coaches from the previous ones.

But he signed hella checks along the way, so those players can't be too mad. Some left and won titles. Some left and earned enough bread to retire. I know Miles Austin doesn't feel like his career was destroyed.

And a lot of players weren't that great to begin with.
