Running game.

That's the difference in this team and what we've seen throughout the year. Dak didn't need to throw the ball 30+ times. turn and hand that ho off and let the line go to work. That's BEEN the key to our success since Dak's taken over but for some reason this year they fell in love with throwing the ball. I feel like it's an easy switch to flip when you're controlling the TOP and not asking our D to be on the field all game. It's a winning recipe and it's just a matter of implementing the game plan.
I agree with team goes as the oline goes but do you honestly believe the way the oline played yesterday is a switch they can flip? I don't think so. I think yesterday was an anomaly. Hope I'm wrong because there's nothing more satisfying than watching these guys run at will.

Yes cause truth be told, the online was good but they wasn't great. We saw a lot of missed/broken tackles in the backfield and constantly saw positive yards. Zeke running different, which he's shown in spurts . I think the biggest concern with our running game is a lack of commitment. If they have a 30 run mentality, they'll see similar results.

I don't think that there's a dline in the playoffs that can give us fits.

Any given Sunday breh. Just because a team takes a L doesn't mean they aren't consistent. Only one team has gone through a NFL season undefeated, so all great teams are going to get caught slipping. Consistency is more about your style of play and identity week-to-week. Usually revolves around sound defense, winning the turnover battle, and clean special teams. Cowboys are incapable of doing this on a week-to-week basis, so I cringed when I heard the media peppering the players with questions in the postgame about how they can "bottle up" this effort for a playoff run as if a bad team like the Cowboys can just flip a switch and play like this for a prolonged stretch. This team is what it is at this point and coaching is the main reason for it.

I disagree with this. I think consistency is more about the tone people in a leadership position set. I think the number one problem with the cowboys is that jason garrett as a coach doesn't set any type of tone with team. You can play like trash and you won't ever get benched. You can make a big play every time you touch the ball but you not going to get your touches increased from 5 a game to 10 a game. You can have your two starting corners out and we still going to run it 30 times cause we a "running team". This year they flipped it. You can have your starting DT's out and we going to throw it 35 times cause we a passing team. Jason doesn't exploit mismatches. He doesn't even look for them. He is a line up and my guy beats your guy coach. That's archaic in todays nfl. Virtually nobody plays that way except us. Virtually nobody coaches that way except us.

An example would be the Tavon Austin punt return fiasco. Tons of running room to maybe make something happen. But because our staff is stupid and can't communicate well...we don't even get an opportunity to find out what would have happened. That is a blunder that helped us lose a football game that has nothing to do with the players on the field. It has everything to do with Jason Garret not being able to communicate what we should be doing to the other coaches because he is a shyt coach.

You know how many kickers this year have missed 10 field goals? I believe only one, Maher. Why was he on this team so long when he obviously could not consistently make kicks? Garret could have had this guy cut at any moment this year...but he waited until he missed several critical kicks before cutting him. He even had some conservative playcalls in moments so Maher could kick field goals from distances where he was the least accurate. Thats not a player decision. That's a coaching decision. That's bad coaching to know a guy is not very accurate between 40 and 50...yet continually give him chances to kick between 40 and 50.

You know what all of those teams did when they lost those games to bad teams? Bounced back and won the next game. Cause they all have good coaches that go to that team after a bad loss and won't tolerate it again next week. We don't have a coach like that. Thats how you end up 8 - 8 every year. Thats how you end up winning 12 games one year 4 games the next...

:what: breh I agree. That's my point. It's retarded to think this team is capable of stringing games like yesterday together bc the coaching is so subpar and the loser culture is in this team's DNA. After that performance the players in that locker room are more likely to let out a sigh of relief and relax this week rather than build off what we saw yesterday. That's just the honest to God truth of how things work around here and everybody who follows this team closely knows it.

Get ready for us to abandon the run again next week the moment Fletcher Cox stuffs Zeke a couple of times in the backfield.

I was just about to post this. Dak will throw 40+ times next week, Zeke will carry the ball 12-16 times, Pollard will carry the ball 2 or 3 times.
Jason Garrett isn't that dumb. I honestly feel like he knows running the ball gives us the best chance of winning and with him coaching for his career in Dallas, he's going to do what it takes to win. Worst case, he's auditioning for another team in which he's still gonna want to go out with a bang
