It's refreshing to see a team buck at each other from time to time. The last time their locker room almost mutinied on Pederson, he accepted the criticism, made some changes, and they went on to win the Super Bowl the next year. In Dallas, they just cash their checks and keep their mouths shut like some damn robots. The players are scared to say anything about Garrett because they know how close he is to Jerry.

I'm glad an Eagles player stepped up. Better an Eagles player than a Cowboys player at this point.

Lady's family is getting assistance so it doesn't really matter where it's coming from. And we know why nobody in Dallas stepped up, too much pressure to STFU and toe the company line and support "blue lives" that Jerry and Witten love so much.

But I appreciate the negative press. People think the only thing that will change Jerry is not going to the games or not buying merchandise? Wrong. The Dallas Cowboys are a global machine and short of a full scale revolution, the bottom line will always continue to be fat and juicy.

Only negative press can really mess with the collective FO at this point. Lots of negative press. They never had to deal with Undisputed/First Take, Twitter, FB, IG, meme pages in the 80s and 90s. I think there's a difference between constant media attention and relevance and harsh criticism.

When I say negative press I mean harsh criticism. Jerry don't want that. He's not thick-skinned, in fact, he's the exact opposite.

You're right in that he wants the Cowboys to always lead off every show and be on the tip of everyone's tongue. But if it's for all the wrong reasons, I don't think he takes joy in that.

The fanbase and local media's impatience is coming to a head right now. We're getting national criticism. Our QB is getting slandered by half his own "fanbase." People are calling for significant changes in the organization. I don't think Jerry is particularly happy about any of this. Especially with the SB hype talk to start and how quickly we've come to this point.

They let go of TO for negative press. Dez. Hardy. Randle. None of those decisions were because it made us a better team or financial constraints.

Public perception impacts these fools more than on-field results. It's why he fired Jimmy and went to Barry.

No guarantee this results in significant change, but this shytstorm surrounding the team is more impactful than a couple thousand empty seats on Sunday.

I wanna be clear, I don't want Urban Meyer as our head coach. But if some reason Lincoln Riley turns the job down, don't be shocked if Jerruh approaches Urban. It wouldn't be the worst decision, but I don't think Urban would work well in the NFL.

I prefer Riley simply bc he has a relationship with the Jones family so he knows what he's getting into. Plus Urban is flakey. He could easily dip on us in 3 years.
