I think its deeper than that.

Players aren't prepared physically or mentally. I dont know how many times I saw interior lineman looking gassed or just flat out get manhandled. I saw defensive lineman give up.

Players were going through the motions. No intensity and poor cardio. That's why players are getting injured. And some are playing hurt.
