Finally a creative offense

It took them 4 years to seriously implement RPO's in our offense. I think we were dead last in that department the last 2 seasons.
Naw the Cowboys were definitely using RPOs in Dak's rookie year. We still have no idea why Scott Linehan went away from that.

Anyways I saw this other X&O's clip from Dallas Cowboys Report youtube channel:

The Dallas Cowboys highlights vs. the New York Giants were impressive. But what does the game film say about Kellen Moore’s new Cowboys offense? Cowboys Report host Tom Downey picks 7 plays to break down from Moore’s debut as the Cowboys offensive coordinator. They feature play action, motion, RPO and most importantly: just better play calling overall.

The Cowboys plays focused feature 6 pass plays and 1 run play. Most of them feature motion and most of them work. The common theme for this Kellen Moore offense is that it tries to make the pre-snap reads easier on Dak Prescott while creating space for Amari Cooper, Randall Cobb and Michael Gallup.

The best Cowboys news is that Moore is clearly going to lean on play action and early-down passing. That’s for the best, because that’s the way to win in the NFL. The Cowboys used it a bunch and also focused on actually getting to the sticks on 3rd downs.

:snoop: Dude mentioned that before this season the Cowboys were like the only NFL team didn't run the popular "Mesh" passing concept.

Because it was easier for Linehan to coach him to be a traditional quarterback because that's all he knows. The league caught up the following season and we tried to shape Dak in to something he's not.

When Romo went down in Seattle, Nick Eatman said they had conversations with Art Briles to come up with schemes to help Dak til Romo returned, but it worked too well and they couldn't back

Briles consulted with the Cowboys on their offense :ohhh: Did he secretly meet with Moore in the offseason and give him some game? I just read the Cowboys were gonna bring Briles in as an official consulted but backed out earlier in the offseason.

:dwillhuh: What makes you think Kellen Moore consulted with Art Briles as opposed to Chris Petersen or Bryan Harsin? Everything we saw on Sunday against the Giants reminds me of the Boise St. offense.

dont sleep on deadskins... this is our rival, and they come to play every time. its going to be a nail bitter. we should pull this off. very close game. we beat them and crush Miami, we be 3-0 and have the saints and packers up next.

Too much on the line this season for dak, Garrett to under estimate any opponent.

The redskins have a more formidable defense than the Giants. This will definitely be a better test before going into our bye week.

Week 1 we saw Dak throwing the ball into coverage. I wonder if he scales that back this week against better corners. Also will be interesting to see if Norman shadows Cooper.

I think this will be a 25-30 carry Zeke game and the O looks completely different than last week.
