The beautiful thing about Atlanta's situation is the offseason looks promising even with the contract situation of Demare and Millsap to worry about.

The Hawks are going to have the easiest time in free agency they've had in a long time. Free agents won't have to worry about typical first/second round exits or playing under one of the worst ownership groups in the league. Even playing for a good coach is going to be attractive.

They get the 15th pick in a deep draft despite going to the Conference Finals.

Steve Koonin mentioned in that ESPN article a while back that Atlanta would be undergoing a re-brand with new uni's and a charcoal court.

Just a lot to be enthusiastic about :ehh:

I think we'll work them regardless

Let's looks at it:

PG: Kyrie vs. Teague ADV: Kyrie, but Teague HAS to make him work on defense
SG: JR Smith vs. Kyle Korver: ADV: Even. This playoffs it's been JR and Kyle has struggled. However we know how dangerous Kyle is from 3 and plays surprisingly good defense. JR is streaky but can be lethal when he's on
SF: Bron vs. DMC: Bron. Bron is still the best player in the world but hasn't been as efficient as in previous postseasons. DMC has been our best player in the postseason and is our best defender, but DMC will need help from the bench and starters to keep up his current level of play since he will be the primary defender vs. Bron
PF: Tristan Thompson vs. Paul Millsap: ADV: Millsap. Millsap, the 2x All Star can mix it up inside and from the perimeter and is a crafty veteran defender. This is a matchup the Hawks can exploit on both ends, Thompson is not as comfortable coming outside of the paint to guard players and is not a threat to score
C: Mozgov vs. Al Horford: ADV: Horford. Horford, another 2X All Star should have the advantage inside & outside vs. Mozgov who is a traditional Center. Mozgov will get most of his points in the paint and on put backs. Al can beat you inside & from 15-18 feet. Another matchup the Hawks should easily exploit

Bench:

Key players:

CLE: Iman Shumpert, Matthew Dellavedova, James Jones, Kendrick Perkins, Mike Miller
ATL: Dennis Schroeder, Kent Bazemore, Mike Muscala, Mike Scott, Pero Antic

ADV: Hawks

Coaching: David Blatt vs. Mike Budenholzer ADV: Hawks

Prediction: Hawks in 7
Teague owns Kyrie's ass and Korver always :cook: on J.R.
Bron is Bron. Enuff said.
Our frontcourt should dominate another series.

We got a shyt load of cap room so resigning Sap and DMC is a must but we need to bring Edy to the NBA. A lot of top teams in Europe want him but he wants the Hawks/NBA.

Wish Koonin would stay in charge though. He at least GETS IT.

Definitely gotta resign Run DMC and Trillsap.

Their Cap will be at 39 million with a 67.1 million cap with an 82 millilon luxury. Next season is also Al's last season under his current deal.

Al stays and with the increased cap for the 2016-2017 season to be around 89 million before luxury, he'll be fine. So you got roughly 28 million to sign Millsap and DMC and 15 million to play with before hitting the luxury tax. Mid level exception is 5.5 million with a max contract of 23.8 over the 4 years.

Mo Williams
Stealing Chris Middleton from the Bucks? (longshot :pachaha:)
